Science teacher and Sustainability Coordinator Tina Reres will explain how she integrates sustainability into the curriculum with programs like Trout in the Classroom and Growing a Wild Brooklyn and Queens. We'll tour the school's productive food and pollinator garden and learn how it's used as an outdoor classroom. PS 29's award-winning waste reduction, recycling and source separation system will be on display and you'll meet some active student Green Team members and butterfly heroes, donning their green aprons. Come and mingle with like-minded peers, get inspired, and enjoy some delicious snacks.
