Integrative Design: Redefining the Practice of Sustainability | Urban Green Council <http://urbangreencouncil.org/content/events/integrative-design-redefining-practice-sustainability>

Looking at natural systems as a model for whole systems thinking allows us to move beyond incremental improvements to true restorative and regenerative design.

Current standards and procedures often rely on sequential, discrete steps taken by siloed teams of professionals—from architects, to contractors, to sustainability professionals. Integrative Design is a way to engage all project team members in the process of discovering synergies between systems, components, and co-creators (design and construction team) to produce much higher levels of building performance, human comfort, and environmental benefits, with less wasted time and resources.

Join us for a discussion with 7group's John Boecker on integrative design concepts and case studies, and learn steps toward implementing this approach.
