Hi:
You are invited to self-post your event into the Waterfront Alliance public calendar. I do hope that you take advantage of this opportunity. This invite may have been sent to a few of your organizers (please check the 'To' & 'c/c' lines of this email): If you do decide to self-post please coordinate so that the event is only posted once.

Below is my standard invitation (and let me know if you need more info please)!
Louis

I. Regarding: Self-posting your activities into the Waterfront Alliance Public website calendar

As an Alliance Partner<http://waterfrontalliance.org/who-we-are/alliance-partners/>, you are invited to self-post, at no cost, your public activities and important fund raisers into the Waterfront Alliance Public Website Calendar<http://waterfrontalliance.org/what-we-do/waterfront-events/>. Posting can be done through this link: http://waterfrontalliance.org/what-we-do/waterfront-events/submit-an-event/ <http://waterfrontalliance.org/what-we-do/waterfront-events/submit-an-event/%20%20%20%20%20%20>

It is very easy to do: The entire process should take you not more than 10 minutes maximum.

Events submitted should be open to the public (with or without a charge), have a connection to our harbor, waterways & their upland areas, our environment, climate change and similar topics. In addition we will also accept important fund raisers from our Alliance Partners<http://waterfrontalliance.org/who-we-are/alliance-partners/>. If there is a charge for the activity please indicate in the description. We must reserve the right to reject any unsuitable subjects without notice

Please keep in mind that after posting it can take up to 5 working days after a listing before a submission will be published for public viewing. If you wish a multiple day event to appear separately in the calendar for all of its days, you will have to self-post it separately for each different day.

We much prefer that you include a graphic (logo or picture) with your posting, but if you do not then we may insert our own.

Criteria requirements for graphics:
Format: .jpg, .png, .gif
Horizontal: Minimum 600px. Maximum 1800px
Width: Minimum 800 px. Maximum 2400 px
Overall total: Maximum 128 mb

We must advise that submitted events will sometimes be subject to our editing changes but we will always preserve your basic event description if we feel we must do so.

Although not required, it is strongly suggested that you send to me a copy of what you will receive in your email after you self-post your event.
That way the status of your publication can be tracked.

I hope that you also consider saving above information in your references as we always love to see on water and environmental public activities posted into our public calendar in addition to your important fund raisers.

II. If you haven't yet subscribed to our biweekly newsletter WaterWire<http://waterfrontalliance.org/what-we-do/waterwire/>, I urge that you do it today. You will find it informative and interesting. If you don't like it you can unsubscribe after you receive the first issue in your in box. This is link to subscribe: http://waterfrontalliance.org/

III. Regarding City of Water Day<mailto:http://waterfrontalliance.org/what-we-do/city-of-water-day/> - In Your Neighborhood<mailto:http://waterfrontalliance.org/what-we-do/city-of-water-day/get-involved/%23host-an-in-your-neighborhood-event> on July 15, 2017 (Saturday)

Website update for 2017, and formal notification and invitation to participate is pending.

Please mark your calendar.
Yours - Louis

Subject: [SPN-Discussion] Sustainability Strategies - You're Invited

The Earth Institute and the M.S. in Sustainability Management program are hosting a panel on 'Transforming Organizations through Sustainability Management.' Attendees will develop an understanding of how companies are incorporating sustainability management into routine operations and supply chains. What are the concrete actions that drive sustainability performance in a supply chain? What incentivizes organizations to integrate corporate social responsibility into their business model? How can sustainability professionals influence decision-making processes? Our group of experts will discuss why sustainability concepts are important for 21st century organizations, and what strategies have been successful for top companies.

Please join us for this lively event on Wednesday, March 29th from 6:00pm - 7:00pm in Low Library Rotunda on Columbia University's Morningside Campus. Earth Institute Executive Director Steve Cohen will moderate the panel, featuring the following panelists:

  * James Ossman, Senior Manager, Global Operations, Etsy
  * Curtis Probst, Managing Director, Sustainable Finance, Rocky Mountain Institute
  *   Celine Ruben-Salama, Principal, FOR THE LONG-TERM
  * Zachary Suttile, Director, Willdan Energy Solutions

After the panel there will be ample time for discussion over wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres. This event is free and open to the public; please share with your colleagues. RSVP is required here.<https://events.columbia.edu/cal/event/eventView.do?b=de&calPath=%2Fpublic%2Fcals%2FMainCal&guid=CAL-00bbdc41-59594642-0159-94a106fb-000053b3events@columbia.edu&recurrenceId=>
