You are cordially invited to attend the panel discussion, 'Sustainability and The Sharing Economy,' hosted by Columbia University's Earth Institute on Wednesday, October 25th. This panel event will offer a broad discussion of the move towards a more sustainable lifestyle, looking specifically at the growth of the sharing economy to demonstrate the changes in the how we consume and use goods and services. The panelists will explore how the sharing economy is starting to change our cities, from innovative technologies and business models to redefined concepts of equity and safety. The panelists will also discuss some of the policy and regulatory challenges facing these new types of companies, and will look at the future of the sharing economy in today's cities.

Moderated by Steven Cohen, Executive Director at the Earth Institute, panelists include:

*         Jason Post, Director of Public Policy and Communications, Uber

*         Baxter Townsend, Director of Public Relations, Tentrr

*         Sarah Flint Stender, Quality Assurance and Sustainability Manager, Rent the Runway

*         William Eimicke, Director, Picker Center for Executive Education; Professor of Practice, Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA)

Please join us on Wednesday, October 25th at 6:00pm in the Low Library Rotunda at Columbia University. This event is free and open to the public, and the panel will be followed by a reception where guests can continue the discussion informally over wine, beer and light appetizers.
