Today’s workplaces are diverse and complex social environments where the
ability to interact, communicate and collaborate with others is essential
to effective problem solving. For this reason the link between emotional
intelligence and job performance has gained greater focus in leadership and
management training. The ability to utilize and develop your emotional
intelligence in the workplace can not only significantly improve your
personal and social capacity in a job but may actually be the most
important skill you can possess as an effective leader.

In this workshop participants will gain a better understanding of emotional
intelligence while exploring the relationship between this leadership
attribute and personal success, in addition to exploring some simple
frameworks to improve and develop your emotional intelligence.

Gilles Mesrobian is on the faculty of Bard College's MBA in Sustainability
and is also a Senior Associate at the Support Center for Nonprofit
Management/Partners in Philanthropy. At Bard, Gilles teaches Personal
Leadership Development working with MBA students to develop leadership
competencies utilizing a personal mastery approach.
