8:15 p.m. Project Drawdown comprises 100 solutions for reducing greenhouse

*EVENT TITLE: DRAWDOWN NYC SPEAKER SERIES: WHAT IS AN ALLY? *

*DATE AND TIME: Thursday, June 17th, 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.  *

*EVENT DESCRIPTION: *
This event, facilitated by two local NAACP leaders, will address the
assumptions and biases that white allies sometimes bring to multi-racial
endeavors, and will share helpful information about what people of color in
the environmental and EJ movements want white people to know and to do. The
format is not a lecture and Q & A, but an interactive dialogue.

*Marcus Sibley*, Chair: NJ NAACP Environmental and Climate Justice
Committee; Chair: NJ NAACP Communications, Press and Publicity Committee;
President: Southern Burlington County-NJ NAACP; Chair: NJ Progressive
Equitable Energy Coalition.

*Stuart Grady*, Secretary, Metuchen-Edison-Piscataway, NJ Branch of the
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP); he is
an emerging leader actively involved in the Branch's community support
programs.
