NYCLab Request for Proposals - Due July 14th
It is my pleasure to announce our annual NYCLab RFP <https://gps.bard.edu/academics/nyclab> for a Bard MBA <https://gps.bard.edu/academics/mba-in-sustainability> consulting team to focus on sustainability challenges and opportunities at your organization. NYCLab <https://gps.bard.edu/academics/nyclab> is a full-year course in Bard College's #1 Ranked <https://leadthechange.bard.edu/blog/bards-mba-in-sustainability-ranked-1-green-mba-for-third-straight-year> MBA in Sustainability program. The class gives our students hands-on and virtual consulting experience while providing your company with a small team to focus on a concrete sustainability challenge from October 2023 to May 2024. Projects do not need to be in NYC to qualify - our MBA student consulting teams have worked with businesses, agencies, and non-profits from all over the world.
The student work is carefully mentored by the course Professor, Laura Gitman <https://gps.bard.edu/our-people?search=laura&name=Laura+Gitman>, who is also Chief Impact Officer of BSR <http://www.bsr.org/>. In recent years she has guided the MBA teams through consulting projects with Pirelli <https://corporate.pirelli.com/corporate/en-ww/sustainability/sustainability>, Etsy <https://www.etsy.com/impact>, Oatly <https://www.oatly.com/en-us/oatly-who/sustainability-plan>, Target <https://corporate.target.com/sustainability-ESG/strategy-target-forward>, and Clif Bar <https://www.clifbar.com/who-we-are>, as well as smaller for-profit and non-profit organizations including Just Salad <https://www.justsalad.com/sustainability>, Vibrant Seeds <https://www.seedinajar.com/>, Medgar Evers College <https://ares.mec.cuny.edu/>, and Queens Community House <https://www.qchnyc.org/>.
In pursuit of our JEDI + Anti-Racism Roadmap Goals <https://gps.bard.edu/mission-and-values#anti-racism>, we are continuing our commitment <https://leadthechange.bard.edu/blog/nyclab-call-for-proposals-black-organizations-matter> from 2020 to actively recruit Black, Indigenous, and People of Color-owned businesses, as well as social justice-focused nonprofits and government agencies. Please see our post here <https://leadthechange.bard.edu/blog/nyclab-call-for-proposals-black-organizations-matter> on how you can support BIPOC-led and/or serving organizations in applying to NYCLab.
Your application can be submitted via an online application form which can be accessed here <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe7DMgUccegR_UeFOBKVl0C-Duyp6QqJb5gLIGNmYq6DHSNqg/viewform>. You can read more about NYCLab and our past projects here <https://gps.bard.edu/academics/nyclab#clients>. There is no fee to participate. We are looking for high-quality projects to challenge our students. The deadline for submissions is July 14th, 2023.
Please contact MBA Assistant Director, Cristian Ramos, with any questions at nyclab at bard.edu.
We are seeking a diverse group of applicants and look forward to your proposal.
Best regards,
Eban Goodstein
