Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory for over 40 years. <o:p></o:p></p>

</span></b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Recent climate-science based forecasts seem to become ever more foreboding: Some NOAA scientists predict sea level rise (SLR) of as much as 9ft by 2050 - far beyond New York City Panel
on Climate Change (2015) upper estimate of 30 inches (2.5 ft) by 2050. What would NYC's coastlines look like with 9ft of SLR? Are our current development, zoning, and land-use policies consistent with adapting to expected SLR? More questions than answers arise,
but transformative changes are badly needed now.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
