<p>The concept of buildings performing as an ecosystem is becoming a
reality as advancing design strategies and certifications strengthen the
integration of the natural and built environments. Living Building
Challenge, administered by the International Living Future Institute,
challenges buildings to function as a sustainable system by encouraging
thoughtful and holistic design.</p>

<p>Join GreenHome NYC Wednesday July 18th to deepen your knowledge of
healthy, impactful building design. Learn about the positive impacts and
potential ramifications of buildings pursuing the Living Building
Challenge (LBC) certification from LBC and construction experts.</p>

<p><strong>Casey Cullen-Woods</strong> LEED AP BD&C, Living Future
Accredited, WELL AP- Sustainability Project Manager at Cosentini
Associates. After studying Environmental Science at the University of
Vermont with a focus on Ecological Design, Casey earned her MS in Urban
Sustainability at CCNY. Co-Founder and co-facilitator of the NYC Living
Building Challenge Collaborative, she has spent over 8 years working on
sustainability projects nationwide.The NYC Living Building Challenge
Collaborative aims to find place-based solutions to industry challenges
in NYC, collaborate with peers in related fields, and produce work that
can be used as tools for projects ready to create regenerative buildings
and neighborhoods</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Megan Bové</strong> LEED AP: BD+C, ID+C, LFA: </p>
<p>Megan Bové is a project manager for Vidaris Inc. in the green and
energy division. Vidaris, headquartered in NYC is a provider of niche
consulting services within the architecture, engineering and
construction industries focusing on high-performance buildings and
specialty structures. Vidaris provides an integrated, holistic approach,
and their professionals provide solutions for building envelope, energy
efficiency, sustainability, code advisory and construction advisory
projects. Megan is currently an executive board member for the Long
Island Chapter of USGBC.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Megan is responsible for supervising all elements of sustainability
requirements for various project types and sustainable certifications.
She has contributed to projects seeking LEED, WELL, Living Building
Challenge, and Enterprise Green Communities. She has participated on/led
sustainability efforts for projects such as One World Trade Center
Observatory, multiple projects at the Hudson Yards development, and
Etsy’s Headquarters in Brooklyn. Etsy’s headquarters achieved a Petal
certification from ILFI and currently one of the largest projects to
achieve such a certification in the nation. Megan has over 10 years in
the building industry with the last 8 years focused specifically on
sustainability. is passionate in assisting projects pursue their
sustainability goals.</p>
