Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! We hope you all have a safe, fun and delicious
holiday. We are so, so grateful for everyone who has participated in a Solar
One program this year, from the Citysol revelers to the Green Renter
audience, from the Park volunteers to the students who worked on the I Heart
PV campaign, our generous funders and everyone who enjoyed the park or
stopped by for a dance event, all the artists who beautified our space with
their work this year...without you, there would be no Solar One. Thank you,
thank you, thank you!

Dredgers Canoe Club.

Whether by canoe, kayak or a 25-foot "Whitehall gig," the experience of
being waterborne on the East River and propelled by the power of your own
muscles is like no other to be had in (or rather, in between) the five
boroughs. "Human-powered boating" is not simply a fun, physical exercise, it
is also an act of exhilarating reorientation that offers one a completely
new way of seeing and being in the world's greatest city. In recent years
and on both sides of the East River, numerous boating clubs have formed, and
the result has been a growing number of new enthusiasts getting out on the
water . In this conversation with two of NYC's community boating pioneers,
we will hear about the many joys that come with the pastime, and the
practical logistics that are involved in the creation of boating communities
and clubs here in the Big Apple.

campaign, aimed at encouraging lawmakers to create easier and more
cost-effective ways to implement solar power in New York State. Since then,
we've done over 20 presentations around the city, and we'd love to come to
your neighborhood, too.

Awareness and interest in solar power is growing every day, and now is the
perfect time to pass new incentives and increase public awareness about the
benefits that increased solar energy production could bring to our state.

To arrange a presentation at your local school, church or community center,
call us at 212-505-6050.
