Greetings,
As the US develops programs to reduce carbon emissions, someone
has to keep score. Corporations have to calculate the actual emissions of
all Greenhouse Gases from their buildings, vehicles and business trips. That
is no mean task.
Enter Enverity. For them, it's a huge market opportunity. Enverity
Corporation develops and markets robust and flexible web-based software
applications that automate and facilitate environmental data management and
reporting, including greenhouse gas emissions.
The company's ghgTrackTM application is designed with a powerful and rich
feature set aimed at satisfying large corporate clients, but with an
intuitive and easy to use interface to facilitate utilization by smaller
organizations. Combined with a 'pay for what you use' pricing model, this
creates a very scalable business model with a large target market, including
corporations, universities, government organizations, hospitals and numerous
other institutions that will be tracking their emissions.
Evnerity was named the Runner Up in the Green Building category of the
California CleanTech Open competition in 2007. It is seeking to raise $2mm
to achieve a first-mover advantage and solidify a dominant position in the
market, primarily through additional strategic advertising and the
development of sales channels.
Our Sector Expert will be John Cusack, Executive Director of the New
Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability.
