Earth Celebrations Hudson River Pageant
On May 9, Earth Celebrations, Solar One and dozens of other organizations
and schools will present the Hudson River Pageant, an ecological parade and
performance art event to raise awareness for the restoration of the Hudson
River and address the future effects of climate change on the river and our
shoreline.
Volunteers, performers and participants are needed!
Costume workshops will be held starting February 25 at the Manhattan Youth

Hudson River Pageant

The Pageant date is May 9, but there are workshops beginning Feb 25 to make
puppets and costumes for the big day. Adults and teens interested in getting
involved should come to the Manhattan Youth Downtown Community Center, 120
Warren Street, just off the Hudson River, below Chambers Street. Costume
Workshops with artists Michele Brody & Chris Rumery will be held on
Wednesdays from 6-9pm: Puppet Workshops with artists Lucrecia Novoa & Spica
Wobbe will be held on Saturdays from 12-4pm.
