Have you ever tried to volunteer your skills at a nonprofit and found
yourself frustrated because your project wasn't well scoped or because there
was a lack of communication, or proper project management? You are not
alone, in fact millions of professionals across the country struggle with
this exact problem.

Catchafire is a software-as-a-service social venture startup that aims to
not only be a highly accurate matchmaker between skills-based volunteers and
nonprofits that need their professional expertise, but also will help
nonprofits utilize their skills-based volunteers more effectively. We
believe in harnessing the expertise and goodwill of professionals to empower
and strengthen nonprofits all across the United States.

Catchafire is headquartered in New York City, and we plan to expand to other
major metropolitan areas across the country, with the ultimate goal of
becoming a ubiquitous tool for skills-based volunteering nationwide.

We are currently conducting a pilot program, and we are looking to expand
our small but fun team significantly before the end of the year.
