For all of you going to the polls in New York State today: VOTE YES ON 1.

The League of Conservation Voters Writes:

When environmental voters around the state see a constitutional amendment on
the ballot that would approve the construction of a power line on Forest
Preserve land in the Adirondack State Park, their first impulse might be to
vote against it.
But don't be impulsive: the placement of the line on six acres of public
land along Route 56 in St. Lawrence County provides an alternate route to
cutting through an ecologically valuable land parcel...
