*We need your help to show support for The Climate Group and Climate Week
NYC on the CBS Early Show. They will be having an interview and need people
to stand behind them and wave signs. *

*If you can make it, please join us at 7:15 AM on Friday morning at the
plaza in front of FAO Schwartz and Apple, on Fifth Avenue between 59th and
60th to help raise visibility for the issue – the need for a global deal to
combat climate change *

* **Please let me know if you can make it. Krista_pilot at dkcnews.com.
Thanks!!!*

Here’s a short note about The Climate Group, and about Climate Week NYC.

 *About The Climate Group*

Over the next five years, The Climate Group’s goal is to help government and
business set the world economy on the path to a low-carbon, prosperous
future.

To reach this goal, we’ve created a coalition of governments and the world’s
most influential businesses – all committed to tackling climate change.

Through this coalition, we’re helping to set the targets, create the
policies, build the confidence, and generate the political willpower needed
to make the changes the world requires by 2050. We are an international,
non-profit organisation. We act independently, with no political agenda or
vested interests. Our people come from different backgrounds, and from all
over the world.

 *About Climate Week NY˚C*

During the week of September 20th, 2009, hundreds of government and business
leaders from around the world will converge upon New York City for a series
of high-level meetings and events focused on the most urgent issue of our
time: climate change.

Taking place just seventy days before the UN Climate Change Conference,
Climate Week NY°C will provide a platform for business, government and
citizens to demonstrate their support for world leaders to secure a global
deal in Copenhagen.

Climate Week NY°C is a partnership between The Climate
Group<http://www.theclimategroup.org/>,
the United Nations <http://www.un.org/>, the UN
Foundation<http://www.unfoundation.org/>,

cultural events and public engagements to address and underscore the urgency
for action on climate change.
