REMINDER:

 

Entries for the Sustainable Furnishings Council's third annual ONE GOOD
CHAIR competition are due JUNE 15.

2010 theme: 

MINIMUM/MAXIMUM

How little material can you use to make the most of a chair? 

How little packaging can you use to reach the most people? 

Can you design a chair that is almost nothing and almost everything at the
same time?

 

Finalists will receive a cash prize, and their design will be fabricated. 

 

The first phase jury consists of a stellar interdisciplinary group of
experts (below), and the finals jury will include designer Shashi Caan,
Planet Green's Sarah Backhouse, and eco-activist Summer Rayne Oakes, among
others.
