Real estate is facing a rising tide of consumer expectations and interest in how goods are made. Interest in transparency and disclosure is sparking new conversations for owners and designers around where building products and materials come from, what's in them, and what their ingredients mean for occupants.

At Unpacking Product Ingredients, participants will learn the intricacies of product labeling, including how to interpret transparency documents, how emissions testing and certification systems affect indoor air quality, and how to extract useful information from Health Product Declarations, Cradle to Cradle Material Health Certificates, Declare labels, Pharos profiles, and Safety Data Sheets. We'll even test drive the material selection process for a few products, and discuss how to use these to make informed decisions.
