Event Description

Drawing from his recently released book, Energy Audits and Improvements for Commercial Buildings<http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-1119084164.html>, Ian Shapiro will discuss how deep energy savings in buildings may be easier to achieve than we think. Explore real-world examples of deep energy savings, including projects that have reached net-zero energy, and the improvements that were required to get there.

Shapiro will review common mistakes, cases where energy savings are frequently overestimated or underestimated, and ways to improve energy audits. He will demonstrate the importance of creative thinking as a tool in the process of translating energy audits into real improvements.

Join us as we delve deeper into this comprehensive guide and discuss best practices that energy managers, energy auditors and other energy professionals can use to transform our buildings, while eliminating energy use and slashing carbon emissions.
