5 SLOTS OPEN FOR U.S.-TAIWAN ECO-CAMPUS PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM. APPLICATIONS DUE MARCH 18, 2016
The National Wildlife Federation Eco-Schools USA, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the Taiwan Environmental Protection Agency are inviting five K-12 schools in New York City to participate in the “Eco-Campus Partnership Program<http://www.nwf.org/Eco-Schools-USA/Our-Partners/USA-Taiwan.aspx>” for the 2015-16 school year. This cross-cultural sustainability-focused program opportunity is FREE to registered Eco-Schools and includes a $100 stipend for a team of two participating teachers ($100 per teacher). Educators will receive free PD and training on use of the iEarn platform (http://www.us.iearn.org/<http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.us.iearn.org%2F&h=QAQGrSgsRAQHS5lH3QeV-kkH9sKx8nlW7qe1xBRimd4th3Q&enc=AZPxoMd0lUoVXTirCx-gVYNEKjyZ7mS8O0rLLFzI7PWATeyhEJ2WdKzvAU0KQA61qOlvG8tGVD7RRwwTaWb5TIzuVKonibMpac92gVkNqOm5N3qnH9EGijHJfG8xKWitig9iipXL7HjVVRsrob41JIfaFeihFBewpl5BQkP22wL1ew&s=1>) which schools will use, in addition to Skype, to communicate with each other. NYC and Taiwan schools can decide to collaborate on any type of project they choose: from building a garden or a composting program to water or energy conservation.
