The Laurie M. Tisch Center for Food, Education & Policy cultivates research
about connections between a just, sustainable food system and healthy
eating and translates it into recommendations and resources for educators,
policy makers, and community advocates. The Center focuses on schools as
critical levers for learning and social change.
 Welcome

We have just lived through a presidential election of unprecedented
divisiveness. The future is uncertain. What does this mean for the field of
nutrition education? One thing has become increasingly clear: our
predominantly white profession needs to confront our privilege and biases.
We need to unite against structural racism and make equity the basis of our
work. Despite very real obstacles, I remain hopeful. I hope you do, too.
Working together we can continue to fight for a just, healthy, and
sustainable food system.

Sincerely, Pam Koch
Executive Director
